If you are creative and imaginative, with an art degree, it may be just what you’re looking for to express yourself. The art may not be a profession for the subject – that is, something that leads to a specific career, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not a good preparation for the world of work.
Regardless of whether or not you decide to major in art or art history, the skills that can be acquired during your studies are likely to be very welcome, and can be translated into a variety of industries, including specialized art careers, as well as a variety of other graduate roles.
Most of the art in the professions, which are described below, will be necessary or cost-effective to have a diverse portfolio of work to show to potential employers, including a few of your ideas, as well as the classes.
