    Given

    Marked Price = Rs. 840

    Selling Price =Rs. 714

    To Find

    Discount and Discount %

    Formula

    Discount = Marked Price – Selling Price

    Discount % =( Discount/selling Price )x100

    Now Take

    Discount = Marked Price – Selling Price

    Discount = Rs. 840 – Rs 714

    Discount = 126

    Now

    Discount % =( Discount/selling Price )x100

    Discount % = (126/840) x 100

    Discount % = 0.15 x 100

    Discount % = 15%

    Answer

    Discount = Rs. 126

    Discount % = 15%

    Marked price of the item = Rs. 840.

    Selling price of the item = Rs. 714.

    Discount = Marked price – selling price

    = Rs. (840 – 714) = Rs. 126

    Percentage of discount = (Discount / Marked Price) x 100%

    = (126/840) x 100%

    = 15%
