  Find the whole quantity if 5% of it is 600.

  we don’t know the whole quantity, so let

  the whole quantity be X

  given,

  5% of X =600

  5/100 x X =600

  5 X=60000

  X=60000/5

  X= 12000

  hence, the whole quantity=12000
