Agriculture Development in India
The Indian economy is very much dependent on agriculture. Agriculture has been very important for this country since ancient times. Over the years, through high technology, the agricultural sector has developed a lot. New technology replaced all kinds of old techniques. But the small frames have to use the old method as they don’t have the proper resources of the modern method. In India, agriculture is a way of living. The government has continuously made efforts to develop agriculture in various ways. Many scheme was established for the farmers and the people who were associated with agriculture. The nation depends on the food we receive through agriculture. Agriculture in this country has been practiced for thousands of years, but still, agriculture has remained undeveloped. But after the green revolution, agriculture has become self-sufficient and independent. In the earliest days, people depended on the monsoon for the crops, but now we have ways to supply water, like dams, canals, tube-wells, and pump-sets. We also have a variety of fertilizers, which is better than before. It helps to grow the crops more accurately. So in comparison to the old times, we produce more crops now. So many institutions were founded for farmers to learn better about agriculture. With the highest developed technology, advanced equipment, better irrigation facilities, and the specialized knowledge of agriculture is improving. Our agricultural sector has grown so much stronger than other countries. The food we eat is a gift of agriculture. The agricultural sector is one of the major contributors to the national income of the country and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). It also has a large labor force. It has given so much to society and will never be overlooked. The negative aspects of agriculture should be stopped, and we should always respect the people who are associated with it.
