The leader of the Faraizi Rebellion was Haji Shariatullah. He was a Bengali Muslim reformer and religious preacher who led the Faraizi movement in the early 19th century in British India. The Faraizi Rebellion was a peasant uprising that aimed to challenge the social and economic inequalities faced by the rural Muslim population in Bengal. Haji Shariatullah advocated for social and religious reforms, and his movement gained significant support among the peasantry. However, the rebellion was eventually suppressed by the British colonial authorities.
