Vocal For Local
Vocal for local has become the most discussed topic since the Indian Prime Minister encouraged people to use local products and support local manufacturers. Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi encouraged people of the country to be ‘Vocal for Local’ while delivering his seventh consecutive Independence Day Speech from the rampart of the Red Fort on 15th August 2020. We should appreciate and buy local products. It is an initiative to make the people enthusiastic about their products. This initiative encourages people to start producing their products and reducing the use of imported goods. People nowadays are running behind the brand tag. We don’t care about the quality. Sometimes, it affects us so badly. But sometimes so many products can be created by our resources and these products become the best in quality. We underestimate the street shops and vendors, but sometimes the best items come from local shops. We are so obsessed with foreign products that we don’t respect our goods. But it is not good. Some of the best products can come from our local origin. So we should start to believe in the local products and help to uplift it. We should appreciate the local goods Instead of Chinese products. Like in diwali season we should visit the local market and shop from them. So many beautiful handmade products are available there. They don’t need any label or brand to describe the beauty of local products. This pandemic season makes us realise the power of local products. We should learn the lesson from it when local products, local people and everything which were available locally proved helpful and worked for us. We could be self-reliant for every critical condition with the slogan of Vocal for Local.
