Homophobes vs Homonym
Homophones and Homonyms are very important to our grammar and vocabulary. Specifically in the case of vocabulary, those are extremely important. Homophones are a bunch of words that sound the same but have different meanings or spelling. For example,” Deer” and “Dear”, both these words are sound the same but have different spelling and meaning. On the other hand, Homonyms are words that are spelled the same and sound the same but have different meanings. For example, “Bat” means two kinds of things. First, it means an animal, Bat; on the other hand, it means a thing used for playing, like a Bat. Both Bat have the same spelling and sound but have different meanings. Now that we learn the definition, let’s learn the difference. It helps us to identify the both and will improve our vocabulary.
The difference between Homophones and Homonyms:-
1) A homophone is a group of words that sound the same but have different spelling and meaning. Homonyms have different meanings but sound and spell the same.
2) Homophones contain two different kinds of words. On the other hand, Homonyms are identical words.
3) Homophones are easy to identify as they are not identical. However, Homonyms can’t be easily identified as they look the same.
4) Homophones have different spelling, like “write” and “right “.But Homonyms have the same spelling, like” ring” and “ring”; one ring is a jewelry, and the other means a circle.
5) A homophone is a type of Homonym, but Homonyms are not a part of homophones.

1) I want to buy a book.
After leaving, I wished him goodbye.
2) Roti is made with flour.
Lilly is a very beautiful flower.
3) I saw a big red ant today.
Mita is my favorite aunt.
Homonyms example:-
1) Max loves to watch TV.
Lisa bought an expensive watch today.
2) I have 20 20-inch ruler.
Akbar was a grand ruler.
3) The fly is making too much noise.
Let’s fly kites today.
