    1. Latitude – Places closer to the equator generally experience higher average temperatures and more intense heatwaves compared to places at higher latitudes. This is due to the increased solar radiation received near the equator.

    2. Climate factors – Certain climate patterns and weather phenomena can contribute to more frequent and severe heatwaves. For example, places with a continental climate or desert climate tend to have more extreme temperature variations and are more prone to heatwaves.
