  Maharana Pratap, also known as Rana Pratap Singh, ruled the kingdom of Mewar from 1572 to 1597. He was a valiant Rajput warrior and the 13th Maharana of Mewar. Maharana Pratap is remembered for his resistance against the Mughal emperor Akbar’s forces during the Battle of Haldighati in 1576. His reign marked a significant period in the history of Mewar and the Rajputana region in India.
