  Twice the difference between two numbers is equal to their sum. If one number is 15, then find the another number.

  One of these numbers is 15. Let the other number be x

  2*(15-x)=15+x

  30-2x=15+x

  3x=15

  therefore x=5

  OR

  2*(x-15)=x+15

  2x-30=x+15

  therefore x=45

  So x can be 5 0r 45
