To make tricolor badges for the 26th of January, which is Republic Day in India, you will need the following materials:

    Materials:

    • A4 size white cardstock or thick paper
    • Tricolor materials: saffron, white, and green craft paper or felt
    • Scissors
    • Glue stick
    • Pencil
    • Tricolor ribbons (optional)
    • Safety pin or badge pin

Now, follow these steps to make tricolor badges:

    1. Start by cutting out a circular shape from the white cardstock or thick paper. You can use a circular object like a glass or a compass to trace a perfect circle or draw it freehand.

    2. Divide the circular shape into three equal parts horizontally using a pencil. You can lightly mark the divisions on the back of the circle to guide you.

    3. Cut out a strip of saffron craft paper or felt that is approximately one-third the width of the circular shape. It should be long enough to cover one-third of the circle horizontally. Glue the saffron strip onto the top part of the circular shape.

    4. Cut out a strip of white craft paper or felt that is approximately one-third the width of the circular shape. It should be long enough to cover one-third of the circle horizontally. Glue the white strip onto the middle part of the circular shape, just below the saffron strip.

    5. Cut out a strip of green craft paper or felt that is approximately one-third the width of the circular shape. It should be long enough to cover one-third of the circle horizontally. Glue the green strip onto the bottom part of the circular shape, just below the white strip.

    6. Allow the glue to dry completely. Once dry, trim any excess paper or felt from the edges of the circular shape to make it neat and uniform.

    7. If desired, you can add tricolor ribbons to the badge for extra decoration. Cut three equal lengths of ribbons in saffron, white, and green. Glue the ribbons vertically along the edge of each corresponding colored strip on the badge.

    8. Finally, attach a safety pin or badge pin to the back of the badge using glue or by punching small holes and securing it with a knot.

Your tricolor badge for Republic Day is now ready to be worn and displayed with pride!
