    The parliament of Russia is known as the Federal Assembly. It is a bicameral legislative body consisting of two chambers: the State Duma (the lower house) and the Federation Council (the upper house). The State Duma is composed of members elected by the Russian people, while the Federation Council is made up of representatives from the different regions of Russia.
