  Sally has 8 apples, and she gives 3 of them to her friend. How many apples does Sally have now?

  Initially, Sally had 8 apples. She gave 3 to her friend

  So, Sally will have 8-3 = 5 apples with her.

  So Sally with 5 apples with her.
