Materials you will need:

– Plastic wrap or plastic bags
– Plastic or disposable gloves
– Plastic drop cloth or garbage bags (to protect your work surface)

Step 1: Prepare your work area
Cover your work surface with a plastic drop cloth or garbage bags to protect it from any potential spills or stains.
Step 2: Pre-wash the fabric
Before starting the tie-dye process, wash the fabric to remove any sizing or chemicals that might interfere with the absorption of the fabric paints. Follow the fabric’s washing instructions.
Step 3: Prepare the fabric
Dampen the fabric slightly by spraying it with water or soaking it in water and then wringing out the excess. The fabric should be damp but not dripping wet.
