  1. The lengths of the sides of a triangle are 5 cm, 12 cm, and 13 cm. Is this triangle a right-angled triangle?

  Since,

  (5)² + (12)² = (13)²

  25 + 144 = 169

  Pythagoras theorem States that in a right angled triangle the sum of square of the length of two sides of a triangle is always equal to the largest side/side opposite to right angle/longest side.

  Therefore,

  By inverse of Pythagoras we can conclude that

  The given triangle is a right angled triangle
