Vinayak Damodar Savarkar
The Legendary Veer Savarkar
I’m writing this just after I saw the movie, “VEER SAVARKAR” directed by Randeep Hooda.
It was great to see the movie. The movie was full of action and emotions of a revolutionary. I learned that Savarkar was the person who wanted freedom but not with the partition. He was in favor of “One nation and one religion”. He was a powerful and intelligent person. He never used to get out of prison and used to speak without any fear. If he wished he could be the leader of the Congress party and he didn’t choose to be in unity, he always selected to walk alone in the path of the truth. He was caring towards his family, but not more than the nation.
He was in love with the country. Nowadays we can’t see so much intense love of anyone towards the nation. Everyone is eager to earn more and more to get a more luxurious life, but he was the person who was announced to live a life like an animal in Kalapani. The sense of the jail makes me very emotional and painful. My knowledge has some boundaries, so I can’t imagine the pain of the prisoners in Kalapani. It might feel like I was on the island with no help.
I feel lucky that I have chosen writing as my career because I saw in the movie that Savakaar was a writer before he was a revolutionary. Many Indians got motivated with his written article including Bhagat Shing. I feel good about myself as I have chosen this movie to watch in the theater but because of some, I can’t watch it. I was eagerly waiting to watch on the OTT platform. In today’s world where people are wasting their time watching lust movies, I spent my time watching such a class movie. Since now whenever I will recall this movie Randeep Hooda will come to my mind as he acted so well as Veer Savarkar.
