Ecobricks: Making & Uses

What are Ecobricks? How are they made? What are its uses?

Ecobricks: Making & Uses

An ecobrick is a plastic bottle filled to a specific density with recycled plastic. They can be used again and again as construction blocks. Furniture, garden walls, and other structures can all be made out of Ecobricks. It also encourages citizens to take a coordinated approach to their used plastic and turn it into a usable product through the collaborative process. Low-grade recycling, such as Ecobricks, is preferable to no recycling at all. Rather than using plastics in low-tech, low-cost recycling procedures like ecobricks, we can add considerably more value to the recycling of plastics by using them to generate energy, which can contribute to job creation through these methods. These non-recyclable plastics are derived from inorganic compounds that may leach into the ecosystem when these bricks are exposed to sunlight. This might affect the soil right away, and the pollutants might eventually reach the water table, posing a threat to the aquatic ecosystem and may leading to water degradation.
