Rabies is a fatal disease that causes inflammation of brain. It is caused by the deadly Rabies Virus. A rabies virus is a single stranded RNA virus with an enveloped structure. It has a wide range of hosts and can infect mammals, birds, reptiles and even cells of a culture medium. It has a cylindrical symmetry and belongs to the family of Rhabdoviruses.
Rabies spreads from the saliva of an infected animal.
It includes different symptoms like-
- fever
- sore throat
- cough
- vomiting
- fatigue
- headache
- anxiety
these were some common viral symptoms. However, this virus affects the brain and the symptoms are as follows-
- hypersalivation
- hydrophobia
- hyperventilation
- hallucinations
- paralysis
- and finally death
these were the symptoms of the fatal Rabies virus.
