We all are aware about the ever-growing pollution in such a situation eco-friendly resources are the ones which comes to our rescue. Eco-friendly goods are those which did not harm the environment while they were manufactured and also do not cause any pollution of environmental hazards when used.

The 3 R’S of saving the environment are:

    1) REDUCE: We generate a lot of non-biodegradable wastes on a daily basis, some of which are not very essential and are also replaceable. Also, we should use public vehicle more often and reduce the use of public vehicle this will reduce the use of fossil fuels and thus result in lesser pollution. Use jute bags and cloth bags in place of polythene this will also help in reducing the utility of plastic.

    2) REUSE: We should practice reusing plastic bottles and containers instead of just using it once and throwing this will help in reducing the pollution as plastic is non-biodegradable and harms the nature. Reusing the polybags to discard waste in place of using another one will also help in reusing plastic.

    3) RECYCLE: Instead of dumping waste we should engage in recycling them and making goods out of trash this will reduce the pollution and toxic nature in the environment. Recycling can be by the factory and also through small scale industry. Ecobricks are a great initiative to recycle plastic.

BODMAS is a technique in mathematics, it is useful in solving complex simplification and operations which consists of many sub operations, in such a situation many a times we fail to recognize which operation to perform first. BODMAS helps in getting which operation to deal with and gives the order to operate mathematical problem, if someone fails or misinterprets this order the solution comes out to be wrong and leads to mistake. This order is taught to students in the primary level but is used throughout. BODMAS stands for:

    B- BRACKET

    O- OF

    D- DIVISION

    M- MULTIPLICATION

    A- ADDITION

    S- SUBSTRACTION

June 21, 2021 at 10:20 pm in reply to: Communication and importance

Communication is the medium to exchange our thoughts, it is very important to communicate with each other. Communication is basically of two types verbal and non-verbal, verbal communication indicates to the use of language which we use through our mouth and talk to each other whereas non-verbal communication means using written way outs, body language or any gestures to make the other person understand or explain something.

Communication skills are a very integral part nowadays and are required in every step especially it is outmost required to express oneself in public and let people know one’s opinion in a very clear manner. Communication is now counted as a soft skill and people tend to build it from an early age in order to be presentable in public.

Lack of communication causes a lot of chaos and miss understanding. A communication gap is a huge drawback and is given equal importance as degree and other technical skills nowadays. If a person is unable to communicate properly then it adds a lot of negative impact and creates a negative impression even, without proper communication skills a person can never be an all-rounder and that is what is required in today’s date. A person must be fluent and confident enough to speak in front of public.

  • Roots are a vital part of every plant and are a must. It lies inside the soil and helps a plan to stand upright and remain in a particular place. One of the main functions of the roots is to absorb water, water is an essential element for carrying out photosynthesis and photosynthesis is crucial because it prepares food for the plant itself and helps it to grow and bear fruits and flowers. The roots also help the plant to absorb the required salt, minerals and other necessities from the soil. Roots use the mechanism of osmosis to absorb water and all the other required products. After being absorbed they are transported throughout the plant by xylem, xylem is a complex tissue which transports water and all other required minerals, xylem consists of dead cells. It also consists of tracheid’s, vessel elements, xylem parenchyma, xylem sclerenchyma and xylem fibers.

Pollution is growing with each passing day with the increasing use of artificial things and toxic chemicals which gives us unsustainable pleasure. We are witnessing the growing air, water, land, sound pollution in our everyday life and are also gradually understanding the importance of reducing them so here are some steps which can really help in reducing environmental pollution:

    1. We should engage more and more in afforestation, a greater number of plants will increase the oxygen supply as well as keep the rain cycle proper and provide us with all the necessary things like food, shade in summers, providing home to animals and birds and many more.

    2. We should try to reduce deforestation as much as possible it joins in soil erosion and degrade the quality of environment and air as the amount of oxygen decreases.

    3. We should start following the three R’s i.e., Reduce, Reuse and Recycle for all the non-biodegradable items which we use such as products manufactured from plastic.

    4. Wastes from factories should be treated before disposing off into the water bodies or dumping them into landfills.

    5. The smoke emerging from various factories should also be treated before emitting from the chimneys.

    6. The gadgets producing CFC’s or other toxic should be replaced or used less

These days pollution is a well known topic to everyone because it is causing a lot of damages and climatic change which in turn is again hitting on us human beings. Water pollution is caused due to disposing harmful untreated waste from factories, dumping non-biodegradable wastes directly into water bodies and other contaminations.

    1. It causes various water borne diseases such as cholera, diarrhea some of them could be as serious as taking lives and others make our immune system very weak.

    2. Water is our basic necessity to sustain life and if this gets contaminated the whole of the living species gets effected gets to suffer ultimately.

    3. Water animals gets to die due to the increasing toxicity in the water bodies and some of them which manages to survive transfers the toxicity to us human beings as we consume them.

    4. The toxic water also affects the growth of our crops which we consume and once again passes the toxicity to us through the food we eat.

Water pollution is a very serious matter to look into and we must take the necessary steps to mend our ways and get back to a healthy life.

It is very important to have a goal or objective for each and everyone out there. Without a specific goal in life a person is basically directionless and it often happens that they get lost in life and are mostly not able to achieve anything.

Chalking out the goal of life is a very sensitive as well a serious task and it must be given enough time before jumping on to a conclusion. A goal should be decided upon one’s own merits and capabilities and not by the influence of other people. It is tough to decide a goal but what is tougher is to dedicatedly work day and night for that goal. Being focused is very much important it adds a lot of value whatever we do and think. Every individual has their personal perspective to life and goals also vary from person to person but whatever it is one has to work hard with determination to reach the goal and achieve success. Discipline is the key which plays a vital role in determining our success and needs to be taken care of. A goal inspires a person to walk that extra mile each day to reach a particular destination.

June 16, 2021 at 5:49 pm in reply to: Soil erosion.

We all are aware of the importance of the fertile top layer of the soil, it helps the trees and plants to grow by providing the required minerals, without this layer it is not possible to ensure life cycle. The process of removing this fertile top layer of soil by either natural or man-made process is known as soil erosion. Soil erosion makes landslides a very common phenomenon which is not at all good for us.

Soil erosion can happen naturally by extreme natural calamities like floods and cyclones which washes of the top layer, also the same happens by the fast-flowing rivers origination from the mountains. Also, one of the major causes of soil erosion is the human act of deforestation, deforestation is the process of cutting down trees as the trees are cut down the roots of the trees no longer bind the soil particles together and thus results in soil erosion. The process of removing grass and making the land barren also joins hand in soil erosion. Processes such as building concrete roads all over results in uprooting the green grass which also helps in binding the soil together. Once the soil is eroded, we get exposed to the unfertile rocky land.

Its high time for us to take soil erosion on a serious note and start
working on with measures to come out of this dangerous problem.
