Pi is denotes as (π), and is one of the most well-known mathematical constants.

Irrational numbers are those numbers that cannot be expressed in the form of p/q where p and q are integers and q ≠ 0.

The approximate value of π is 3.14159….. which is a non-terminating and non-repeating decimal. This cannot be written as a fraction of two whole numbers.

as said Irrational numbers cannot be expressed in the form of p/q ,π also cannot be expressed in p/q form.

hence, π (pi) is an irrational number.

cost price(CP) of the tv set = 2500/-

marked price(MP)of the tv set= 3200/-

rate of discount=10%

Total discount=3200 x10/100= 320/-

i) Selling price=3200 -320

=2880/-

ii) profit=SP-CP

=2880-2500

=380/-

profit percent= (profit x 100)/CP

=(380 x 100)/2500

=38000/2500

=380/25

=15.2% is the profit percent made by the dealer

given,

5% of X =600

5/100 x X =600

5 X=60000

X=60000/5

X= 12000

hence, the whole quantity=12000
