Description
Objective:
Connect the colored dots in the gumball machine to match the sequences on the cards. When all sequences are connected correctly, they will form the outline of a hidden object.
Materials Needed:
- Printables
- Scissors
- A pencil or marker
Instructions:
- Pick a Card:
Choose one pattern card. Observe the sequence of colored circles.
- Find the Sequence in the Gumball Machine:
Look closely at the gumball machine and locate the exact sequence of colored dots as shown on the card.
- Connect the Dots:
Draw a line connecting the dots in the same order as the card.
- Repeat with All Cards:
Take another card and repeat the process. Keep connecting the sequences until all cards are completed.
- Discover the Hidden Object:
Once all the sequences are connected, step back and look at the full picture—the lines will form the outline of an object.
- Guess the Object:
Can you name the object you’ve revealed?
Tip:
- Please work slowly and carefully to make sure each sequence is connected correctly.
- If stuck, try rotating the card and look for the side with the number facing upwards.
Note: a single gumball machine can be used to print multiple times to build all the objects.
