Description
This engaging number recognition activity helps children identify and match different representations of numbers. Children cut out all the square cards and sort them into the correct numbered houses by matching numerals, Roman numerals, dots, and triangle patterns. It is a fun hands-on activity that strengthens number recognition and early math skills.
Materials Needed
- Printed worksheet pages
- Child-safe scissors
- Glue stick
- Cardboard (optional for extra durability)
- Laminator (optional for a reusable activity)
Instructions
- Download and print all the worksheet pages.
- (Optional) Paste the house sheets and square card sheets onto cardboard for extra durability.
- Allow the glue to dry.
- Cut out all the square cards along the dashed lines.
- Choose one numbered house.
- Look at the number on the roof.
- Find the matching number card and Roman numeral card.
- Count the dots and triangles, and make sure they match the house number.
- Paste all four matching cards into the correct house.
- Repeat until all the houses are completed.
