Description

Let’s learn some shapes, but not in old boring ways. We have a surprise because we have our Shape Owl to deal with this!

Activity Time –

Bring in the listed materials right now – First of all, download this PDF of 6 sheets. We’ll need Glue Stick, Markers / Crayons, Construction Paper, and Scissors (Adult supervision is required)

Once printed, you’ll get a Construction Paper on the first page itself, and there is an outline of an owl given, where kids have to stick different body parts to complete the picture.

With each Worksheet there’s a body parts cut-out sheet. This is where the different parts of the Owl are separately given. And each body part of the owl is labelled.

The task begins with coloring the body parts in the sheet and cutting the shapes out with child-friendly scissors.

(Safety measure – Kids must be constantly supervised by an adult while doing this.

The final run is to stick and finish the image. Start by assembling all the individual colored body parts on the construction paper using a glue stick.

Now is the important part when kids have to write down all the shape names that they’ve used in the task. They’ll write it down in a separate column named “I Used” given on the worksheet.

And let the drumrolls begin for the final reveal! Cut and stick this column on the Construction Paper, and your Owl task is completed.

Yes, it is that simple to make shape learning your kids’ new favorite craft activity!
