Rain, rain, come again! Just like rainy seasons, crafting too can be a little messy sometimes. But what’s rain got to do with crafting? We have the answer, and that is this craft sheet, where raindrops are colorful and crafting them is fun.
What’s in it?
This is a fun playtime tasksheet consisting of pages with a cutout of a big, cute cloud illustration (in both color and black and white). Along with that, in both pages, there are seven horizontal strips printed with different shapes. These strips are going to be cut and used for the raindrops. Yes!
Materials: Kids will need the printables, scissors (with adult supervision), and glue or a glue stick.
What’s the activity?
- First of all, cut out the shapes along the dotted lines provided on the pages. Then cut strips from each shape horizontally. Just make sure that each shape has its glue element in place.
- Secondly, attach each strip to the shapes by gluing the square with the glue symbol on the back of the cloud.
- On one sheet, kids have to create the raindrops and the cloud by cutting and pasting them. But this step has a twist.
- To decide which shape will be first glued on as raindrops, we have a shape dice cutout section to decide on.
- So, first make the dice as instructed, roll it, and whichever shape it lands on is the one you’re pasting!
Playtime!
Once the shape dice is built, roll it and wait until it rests on one shape. Then, cut out a box of the shape that is visible on top. Keep playing until the raindrops are filled!
Raindrop Shapes Cutting is an interesting activity that improves art & craft skills for kids. In this activity, they have to cut the dotted line on the dice and then fold it. Kids will learn about different shapes, like a heart, a circle, a star, etc., and colors with the help of this activity. This activity can be done by all age groups.
Materials Needed:

Plan Of Action:
- Color the cloud and other shapes. Use markers or crayons to add details.
- Cut through the dotted line on both pages. Cut strands of each shape horizontally, with each shape having its own box of glue element in it. Use scissors to cut the shapes. Do it under the supervision of a teacher or parent.
- Attach each strand with shapes by gluing the square with a glue symbol on the back of the cloud. (The shapes and the cloud should be facing you.)
- Cut the shape on page number 2 through the dotted line outlines.
- Fold the connected line inwards carefully with the help of a ruler.
- Attach the shape marked with numbers 1 to 7 to create a dice of shapes.
Play-Through Guide:
- Roll the shape dice.
- Wait until it leads to one shape visible on top.
- Cut one box in the shape that is visible on top.
