Description
This fun cut-and-paste activity helps children learn about different types of weather and the clothing or items that match each weather condition. Children will cut out the picture cards and paste each item into the correct weather section. This activity builds weather awareness, vocabulary, observation skills, and logical thinking.
Materials Needed

Preparation
- Download and print the worksheet.
- For extra durability, paste the pages onto cardboard.
- Carefully cut out all the weather item cards along the dotted lines.
- Keep the weather board and picture cards ready for the activity.
- Mix the picture cards before starting.
How to Play
Option 1: Weather Matching
- Look at each weather section.
- Pick one picture card.
- Decide which weather it belongs to.
- Paste it in the correct weather section.
- Continue until all picture cards have been matched.
Option 2: Name the Weather
- Match each item to the correct weather.
- Say the name of the weather aloud.
- Talk about why the item is useful in that type of weather.
Option 3: Sorting Challenge
- Mix all the picture cards.
- Set a timer.
- Match all the cards before the timer ends.

- Place all picture cards face down.
- Turn over one card at a time.
- Identify the correct weather and place it in the matching section.
