    Given: Area of a circle(A)=616 sq.cm

    To find : Circumference of circle(c)

    Solution:Area of a circle

    A= πr^2

    Where r is the radius of a circle

    616=(22/7) r^2

    r^2=616*(7/22)=28*7=196

    r^2=196

    Taking square root on both the sides, we get

    r=14

    Thus, circumference of the circle is

    c= 2πr=2*(22/7)*14=88

    Circumference of a circle is given by: P=2*pi*radius

    Area of a circle is given by: A=pi*radius^2

    Given, area of the circle A=616 cm sq.

    i.e. pi*radius^2=616

    => radius^2=196.078

    => radius=14 cm

    Therefore,

    Circumference=2*pi*14

    =87.96 cm
