  Find the perimeter and area of the garden

  A rectangular garden has a length of 12 meters and a width of 8 meters. If you want to walk around the perimeter of the garden,

  1) what is the total distance you would need to cover?

  2) Can you calculate the area of the rectangular garden?

  Hint

  area = l x b

  Perimeter= 2(l+b)

  The garden is in the form of a rectangle whose length is given as 12m and width is 8m

  1) Perimeter of the rectangle= 2(l+b)

  = 2(12+8)

  = 40m

  2) area of the rectangle = l×b

  =12×8

  =96m
