  Let q be the number of 2/3 kg pieces that are cut from a 4kg cake.

  Therefore q×(2/3)kg = 4kg

  q= 4×(3/2)

  q=2× 3

  q = 6

  Therefore, six (2/3)kg pieces can be cut from a 4kg cake.
