  The ruler of Bikaner who was given the title of ‘Mahi Maratib’ by Aurangzeb due to his bravery was Rao Bika, the founder of the city of Bikaner. Rao Bika was a Rathore Rajput prince and the son of Rao Jodha, the founder of Jodhpur. Aurangzeb, the Mughal emperor, was impressed by Rao Bika’s valor and granted him the title ‘Mahi Maratib,’ which means “The Moon of Nobility” or “Moon of Dignity.” This title recognized Rao Bika’s bravery and contributions to the Mughal empire.
