A constant is a number that does not change. Some examples of constants include:

    • Ï€ (pi, or 3.14159…, the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter)
    • e (Euler’s number, or 2.718…, the base of natural logarithms

A variable is a symbol that represents a number that may change, depending on the situation we are in. E.g: x , y, etc.<div>

A coefficient is a factor that multiplies a variable in a term or expression. A coefficient can include constants (numbers), variables, or both.
