When we comes to the biological world of reproduction, there are many ways of reproduction among organisms. These include budding, binary fission , spores , asexual and sexual. Thers are other methods too. Among these , sexual mode of reproduction include fusion of gametes. Gametes are eggs from female and sperm from male. Only the successful fusion between egg and sperm will lead to the formation of zygote. Which is the first stage of life. This mode can happen in two ways . One method is internal fertilization and other is external fertilization . In internal fertilization method, the sperm and ova (egg) gets fertilized inside the maternal body. To be frank, fertilization happens inside mom. This mode of reproduction is seen in humans. The other mode is external fertilization . In this method , fertilization happens outside the female body. This type of fertilization is seen in frogs. Both internal and external fertilization plays a major role in maintaining the equilibrium of the ecosystem
