Describe Conventional And Non-Conventional Power Resources Briefly.
These energy sources are also known as non-renewable energy sources and are available in limited quantities without electrical power. In addition, it can be divided into commercial and non-commercial power.
Sources of Trade Power
Coal, electricity, and petrol are known as commercial power since the consumer needs to pay the price to buy them.
a) Coal
Coal is the most important source of energy. There are more than 148790 deposits in India. Between 2005-2006, annual production increased to 343 million tons. India is the fourth largest producer of coal, and deposits are widely available in Bihar, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and Bengal.
b) Oil and natural gas:
Today, oil is considered liquid gold and is one of the most important sources of energy in India and the world. Oil is widely used in airplanes, cars, trains, and ships. It is found mainly in Assam, Gujarat, and Mumbai.
India’s total petrol production was 0.3 million tons in 1950-51, which increased to 32.4 million tons in 2000-01.
c) Electricity:
Electricity is a common form of energy and is used for domestic and commercial purposes. It is widely used in electrical appliances such as refrigerators, TVs, washing machines, and air conditioners.
Generally, free energy sources are considered non-commercial energy sources. Examples of non-energy sources for trade in grass, dry manure, and firewood.
What Are Extraordinary Energy Sources?
These rare sources are also known as renewable energy sources. Examples include solar energy, bioenergy, marine energy, and wind power.
The Power of the Sun.
This is energy generated by sunlight. Photovoltaic cells are exposed to the sun depending on the electricity they need to produce. Energy is used for cooking and the consumption of beverages.
The Power of the Spirit
This type of energy is generated using wind power and is widely used in using water pumps for irrigation purposes. India stands as the world’s second-largest producer of wind power.
The power of Tidal
The energy generated by exploiting the ocean waves is known as ocean energy. This resource is yet to be installed due to a lack of cost-effective technology.
