Why do flowers have different colors, and how do they help them in nature?
Reason Behind Different Colors of Flowers
Flowers have different colors because of special chemicals inside them. These colors help flowers in nature. Bees like blue and yellow flowers because they can see a special light called ultraviolet. Butterflies prefer bright colors like red and orange. Birds especially like red. Flowers use their colors to talk to these animals and show them where to find nectar. The color also tells if the flower is ready to make seeds. Some flowers use bright colors to tell bugs, “I might be harmful, don’t eat me!” So, the colors are like a secret code between flowers and animals. It helps the flowers make new seeds and keeps them safe from being eaten. Nature is like a big, colorful team!
