Explain Archimedes Principle

Archimedes’ principle states that the upward buoyant force that is exerted on a body immersed in a fluid, whether fully or partially, is equal to the weight of the fluid that the body displaces. This principle is considered the basic principle of fluid mechanics. This principle became famous through his words Eureka Eureka ! . These words were produced by him when he invented the theory. Some historians say that he even ran naked through the streets when he discovered it. This theory can also be applied to our daily life. Archimedes’ principle describes how ships float, submarines dive, hot air balloons fly, and many other examples.

This equation itself is used in many fields, including purity checking.

Archimedes’ principle tells us about the forces applied to an object by fluids surrounding it. The applied force reduces the net weight of the object submerged in any liquid or fluid. This physical law of buoyancy helps us to understand how ships float in water.

In simple form, Archimedes’s law states that the buoyancy force that acts on an object is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the object. Mathematically written as:
