Give an Explanation About the Importance of Oxygen For Life
Why is oxygen necessary to survive, and what will happen if there is no oxygen in the atmosphere? Will we be able to survive?
Give an Explanation About the Importance of Oxygen For Life
Oxygen is one of the most important gases. A living organism is alive only if they are getting the proper amount of oxygen, and it doesn’t matter if it’s an animal or human or aquatic animal. Humans and animals that live on land acquire oxygen in the form of gas and the aquatic animals require oxygen from water that is present in the form of H2O.
Oxygen is important because it helps the body create energy for daily activities. Like walking, talking even sleeping, we require energy, and that energy is made when oxygen is in our body. Oxygen helps in breaking down complex substances that we intake as food into the simplest substance to convert them into carbohydrates, glucose, and starch that is obtained by the body to provide energy to us to do daily tasks.
If oxygen disappeared from the planet, it would not only affect living organisms but also their surroundings and the things present in the atmosphere because many elements like buildings, concrete walls are bonded together because they have oxygen present in their building blocks, and if oxygen disappears, concrete buildings will fall within a minute. It will affect water as well, as water consists of Oxygen and hydrogen, and if oxygen disappeared from water, it would be just hydrogen left. There will be changes in climate as well as atmospheric conditions. Many Cycles will be disturbed completely because there will be no oxygen.
Of course, oxygen is very important for maintaining life on Earth. Human and other living organisms are made this way that new require oxygen to stay alive.

Human beings require some essential components to survive on this planet. These essential components include sunlight, plants, water, soil, and many other things. Plants are one of the main essential requirements of human beings. This is due to various reason plants provides us food and the other reason which is the main reason is plants provide us with the life-saving gas oxygen. Without oxygen, humans won’t be able to survive on this planet.
Plants produce food through their process of photosynthesis, and oxygen gas is released as a by-product of this process. This oxygen gas, which is released by plants, is inhaled by human beings and other living organisms.
Oxygen is said to be a life-saving gas because it is required in various important processes that are carried out in our body. It is required for respiration in human beings, which helps human beings extract energy from the food consumed. All the cells in our body require oxygen to produce energy from food. Oxygen helps a body to replenish the old cells and build new cells. Oxygen is important because it helps us to continue our life processes smoothly. Without oxygen, life cannot be imagined on planet Earth.
Human beings inhale oxygen with the help of the nose, which travels through the windpipe and finally reaches the lungs. The oxygen in the air is absorbed by the blood and is transported to various parts of the body so that they can function well

“Oxygen is the life-supporting gas”. It is one of the most important gases present on our planet. It is very clear during this corona crisis what is the importance of oxygen. Oxygen is the only gas we inhale, and our body functions only because of oxygen.
Here are some of the importance of oxygen for our body functions:-
1. As we know, it plays a critical role in respiration (the process by which energy is produced. As during respiration, oxygen breaks down into simple soluble substances like CO2, water, and energy). We need oxygen to stay alive.
2. Oxygen also helps in the purification of water( sewage treatment)
3. Oxygen can increase the body’s absorption capacity of vitamins, minerals, proteins, and essential nutrients.
4. If you are not getting a proper amount of oxygen, then your memory power shortens. You are not able to remember it. This a one of the serious problem in polluted cities.
Now, I am telling you from where do we get oxygen yes you are correct from the plants by the process of photosynthesis. It is very clear why plants are very important for mankind. We must stop deforestation and save plants and trees.
If there is no oxygen available in the atmosphere, we will ultimately die. It is a life-saving gas. Our whole process will stop working. Our lungs, heart, kidney all the vital organs will stop working.
Also, the animals, birds, and aquatic life sink.
Oxygen has a vital role for both animals and humans.
So we must try to save our environment. Stop pollution. Create awareness about this.
Thank you!!
