What was the first video game ever created?
Creation of First Video Game
The first recognized video game is often considered to be “Pong.” It was created by Atari, Inc. and released in November 1972 as an arcade game. Pong was a simple tennis sports game that simulated table tennis. Players controlled virtual paddles on the screen, and the goal was to use the paddles to hit a ball back and forth. Pong became incredibly popular and is credited with kick-starting the commercial video game industry. While there were earlier computer games and experiments with interactive electronic displays, Pong is widely recognized as the first commercially successful video game.
