Impact of COVID-19 on Students

How are the students suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic situation?

Impact of COVID-19 on Students

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a drastic change in the lives of students. Children of every age face different types of problems. Infants find it boring when they don’t find things amusing; they cry and become cranky. It is a highly engaging task for parents to keep their kids happy. Kids belonging to 5-10 years of age are very active. It is their early schooling age. It is a very difficult task for the teachers to maintain discipline and decorum in the class while working at home. Students find it quite tiring to sit in one place for hours without actually focusing. Students taking board exams, college students find it very monotonous to keep themselves up-to-date with the current affair and their studies.

Despite this, it is incredible that students still manage to overcome all the drawbacks and flourish with flying colors.

The entire world is facing a pandemic since the beginning of the year 2020 from a virus named COVID-19, which enters the human body and targets the alveoli in the lungs, reaching their it moves to the cells while the alveoli exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide. Once they reach the cell, they slow down all other metabolical activities and only works on multiplying covid 19 viruses inside our bodies which then targets our immune system if the immune system is strong enough to fight it then the body with right medicine and nutrients recover within a period and if not, then one loses its life.

India has been witnessing complete and partial lockdowns for over a year now, and schools and colleges have completely shifted the education system to online platforms. In this pandemic, the most affected ones are the students, the future of our world, the building pillars they are becoming week with lack of proper quality education and exposure to the normal outside world. Their imaginative power are decreasing and they are becoming physically unhealthy by sitting at home all the time, they are becoming the victims of obesity, facing various mental problems due to the ever-increasing anxiety and stress.

The worst hit in the pandemic are the students because they are losing many precious days of their youth and growing period and missing out on a lot of exciting events.

For the student, COVID-19 brought a lot of struggle, opportunities, and time. Initially, when the pandemic started, there was the loss of studies, and then the whole platform was converted into the online mode. At first, teachers too had to face problems to handle the teaching on the internet, but gradually, with patience and experience, everything started going smooth. But some problems just cannot be solved, like the internet connection problem in the device. These remain a permanent problem in the online mode of education. But the teachers are trying their best to teach their students well in the easiest way possible. But it has a positive side as well. As the students remain at their home they get a lot of extra time which can be used effectively. A productive lifestyle, a positive outlook, and investing time in a particular direction that is good for the person will give a bright result.
This pandemic has been a tough experience for the students sitting for entrance exam. The dates were postponed again and again, which demotivated the students. These students were the most affected. Many UPSC aspirants had to sell tea and biscuits and other stall so that they do not have to ask for money from their parents. Postponing the exam also increased the stress in the student, which resulted in declining interest in studies.
I would suggest such students continue with their studies and not leave it for a long period, keep revision, even for 1-2 hours. Regularity is what matters the most. Meditate, exercise, and eat healthily to keep yourself mentally and physically fit.
The pandemic and lockdown have been a challenge for people around the world, but all we can do is wait patiently with a positive attitude, hoping for a better tomorrow.

Lockdown may not be the ultimate solution for the COVID-19 outbreak. However, it is one of the many ways in which the situation can be brought under control, an attempt can be made.

COVID-19 is contagious. The same disease comes up with different mutations every few months, lately. Currently, the research says that the latest mutation of this disease in phase 2 is spread in the air. In other words, the disease is now in the air. The best way to avoid this is to delay direct exposure to air. Lockdown, in a way, helps, as it helps avoid direct contact with beings and also deducts direct exposure to fresh air, which is no longer fresh. Not entirely, but the lockdown does help in a way to reduce the commotion.

Yes, the lockdown is the perfect solution for the COVID crisis. This is because it keeps the people distanced.

An individual follows all the precautionary measures like sanitizing, mask-wearing, etc., but none of them can distance the individual from the other person.

So, a person needs to be distanced in this critical situation. It is also very important to care for the health. Distancing is one of the methods of care. Even though the person takes all the precautions like sanitizing, masking up, etc,. falling under the Covid. Nowadays, people are testing positive for COVID-19 even if they are not roaming outside. This is because of the spread of the virus even through the air. So it is recommended for everybody to stay in their homes.

Hence, we can say that the lockdown is the perfect solution to face COVID-19. It is very important to each and every one to mask up, sanitize, maintain social distancing, and help others. It is also equally important to bring awareness to the people who don’t follow the precautionary measures in this pandemic.

Let us first discuss what COVID-19 means.

COVID–19 is a disease caused by the deadly coronavirus. The entire world is suffering from this pandemic. It is an infectious disease and is basically transmitted by an infected patient. It is airborne too, spreads through droplet infection, and can also spread by coming in close contact with the objects touched by a COVID-19-positive patient.

The only solution to get rid of this virus is proper sanitization and social distancing. Nothing can break the chain of the virus except social distancing. The vaccine is a treatment. The permanent solution is to break the chain of this virus. If this virus does not get a host, it will eventually die. The patient is thus kept in isolation.

Lockdown is the only solution to this pandemic. Wearing masks and practicing proper sanitization and social distancing are the only solutions to break this chain of virus. Due to the lockdown, most people will stay indoors, and henc, they won’t catch an infection, neither will they spread the infection.

Vaccination is a treatment to prevent infection. But to get rid of this virus, we need to break its multiplying chain. Thus, a lockdown is the best decision. No host- no virus. Thus, people are being isolated and quarantined so that they do not spread infection. We must stay indoors and use proper precautionary measures to help our country get rid of this deadly virus.

Stay home and stay safe. Help the front-line warriors to kill this virus before it kills us. Help the nation, help the world. Step out only when it is highly important, only when you don’t have an alternative. Step out with proper precautions. Wear your mask properly – above the nose. Try the double mask method, sanitize yourself and your belongings that you took out or brought home. You can save the nation. We can save the nation.

I hope everyone stays safe and this hard time ends soon.

Thank you!

I think lockdown is indeed a solution for the present situation of COVID-19. It is very important because only then will the chain break. If schools, colleges, and shops open, people will have to go out, and as it is said that the virus is in the air, people just won’t be able to protect themselves. Children of the age of 18 are at the highest risk of getting infected as there is no vaccine been launched till now for them. They need to be more careful as in this 2nd wave, they are the ones being affected the most. This time the adults age group has also been effected alot. Lots of healthy, fit people left us. Lots of doctors and nurses gave their lives in treating us. To save ourselves, all we can do is to maintain social distancing, avoid physical contact, and wash and sanitise our hands. If a person has comorbidities such as diabetes, blood sugar, tuberculosis, etc, they need to maintain the level as a rise in the level is also causing deaths. If a person is suffering from COVID-19, they should surely go for some blood tests and have their lungs scanned, as these are the parts most affected by the virus.
In my opinion, the rise of the 2nd wave of COVID-19 is also because as the situation came under control after the first lockdown, all the things were opened again, and people became careless. They started thinking that they were in a biological war, but that was not true. This wave is much more dangerous than the first wave, and more people of all age groups have died in this wave, so people need to be more careful and take care of themselves and their families. Stay at home, and then only the chain of the virus will break.

It’s been more than a year since COVID-19 hit us hard and changed our lives abruptly. When we look around, we hardly see a group of people gathering around. They have their mask on and try to maintain social distancing. Not only has it changed our lives but also our working environment.

So, let’s see how the pandemic has affected different professions and people.

Teachers or Professors: Offline teaching has been replaced with online teaching. They are attending meetings and classes via Zoom. Teaching through technology has made them know about different techniques, but those who aren’t familiar with technologies are going through humiliation from children.

Journalists: Their life hasn’t changed much. Apart from wearing masks and maintaining social distancing, they haven’t grown much. They, in fact, blabber about anything in front of the media.

IT Sector: This pandemic hit hard in the IT sector, too. It has been powerful for some, while some have lost their jobs. And work from home seems to be hectic for a few people, while for some, attending meetings while having breakfast has been great.

Housewives / Mother: COVID-19 and Lockdown presented many holidays to all the workers. Be it someone who has a government job or a private job or is doing business. But, Mother/Housewives is never off duty. They work in all circumstances, yet they never complain. In this Pandemic, they are glad to get their family back.

Kids: The happiest ones are the young generation. They don’t have an ounce of worry; their online class is nothing but a simple walk to the park.

College Students: Whether it is Coronavirus or a Tsunami, they don’t get any chance to relax, be it in college or at home. The piling assignments, viva, and projects are the nightmares that College students are dealing with.

Business Men: Are they doing great? Often, businessmen are considered to be the wealthiest people, but this pandemic didn’t leave anyone. The business they started was stalled due to COVID-19.

Daily Wage Workers: Those who live on their daily income are immensely affected by this pandemic. Either they die due to hunger or with Coronavirus. All is the same.

Anxiety and grief are so notable as the country battles the outbreak of coronavirus. In these difficult times, some people are doing their best to help society cope with the crisis.

So what would happen if this Pandemic gets over?

1. We all will return to our old lives, where we were carefree, laughing, and working without any restrictions.

2. Caring for our health will be our topmost priority.

3. We will give time to our families.

4. We all will know the value of Human Lives.

5. Whether there is a pandemic or not, people will genuinely help those who are in a dire situation.

6. Wearing masks would be common.

7. But the fear of losing our family and friends will remain with us all of our lives.
