Layers of Atmosphere
Explain the layers of the atmosphere.
Layers of Atmosphere
The atmosphere is divided into layers depending on the temperature, as shown in the figure below. These layers are Earth, Instagram, and. Another area began about 500 km above the surface of the Earth, is called the Atmosphere.
This is the lowest part of the atmosphere – the part we live in. It contains most of our weather, clouds, rain, and snow. In this part of the atmosphere, the temperature gets colder as the distance above the Earth increases by about 6.5°C per kilometer. The actual change of temperature with height varies from day to day, depending on the weather.
The Troposphere
It contains approximately 75% of the atmospheric air, and almost all of the water (which causes clouds and rain. The decrease in temperature with altitude is a result of a decrease in pressure. If some of the air moves up, turn it out (with low pressure). When the air expands, it cools. Therefore, the air above is warmer than the air below it.
It is the lowest part of the troposphere is called the boundary layer. It is here that the motion of air is dependent on the properties of the surface of the Earth. Turbulence occurs when the wind blows across the surface of the Earth, and the heat that flows up from the surface when the sun is warm. In this turmoil, it distributes the heat and humidity in the boundary layer, as well as pollution and other atmospheric components.
The tip of the troposphere is the tropopause. It is the lowest at the poles, where it is about 7 to 10 miles above the Earth’s surface. It is the highest (about 17 to 18 km in the vicinity of the equator.
The Stratosphere
Expand about 50 km away. It contains most of the ozone in the Earth’s atmosphere. The temperature increases with altitude due to the absorption of ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun by the ozone layer. The temperature of the Earth is at its highest during the summer pole and a minimum in the winter.
Due to the absorption of the dangerous ultraviolet radiation, ozone in the stratosphere protects us from skin cancer and other damage to health. However, the chemicals called chlorofluorocarbons, or Freons and halons, that were once used in refrigerators, spray cans, and fire extinguishers, have reduced the amount of ozone in the stratosphere, particularly in the polar latitudes, which in turn leads to the so-called “Antarctic ozone hole.”
Now that people have stopped the production of the most harmful CFCs, it is anticipated that the hole in the ozone layer in order at last to recover in the 21st century, it is a slow process.
The Mesosphere
The region above the stratosphere is called the. Here, the temperature drops with height, reaching a minimum of about -90°C, and in the Mesosphere
The Thermosphere and Ionosphere
It is better than other layers, and represents an area where the temperature increases with height. This temperature rise is caused by the absorption of energetic ultraviolet and X-ray radiation emitted by the sun.
In the region of the atmosphere, above 80 km, which is caused by the since energy of radiation from the sun, knocks electrons out of molecules and atoms, turning them into ions with positive energy. Temperature changes between the day and night and between seasons, as the amount of ions and electrons, which are present in it. Instagram reflects and absorbs radio waves, which will allow us to receive short-wave radio stations in New Zealand and in other parts of the world.
The Exosphere
The area in over 500 miles, it’s called. It contains mainly oxygen and hydrogen atoms, but they are so small that they are rarely found. She went “ballistic,” and pathways are under the influence of the force of gravity, and some of them may fly straight to the room.
The Magnetosphere
The Earth behaves like a huge magnet. It collects the electrons (negative charge) and protons (positively charged), the concentration in two ranges from 3,000 to 16,000 miles up in the world – is the radiation of the van Allen belt. This is cutting area surround
