We cannot hear any sound on the moon because the moon has no atmosphere or air to transmit sound waves. Sound requires a medium, such as air or water, to travel through. On Earth, sound waves propagate through the air and reach our ears, allowing us to hear. However, the moon’s lack of atmosphere means there is no medium for sound to travel, resulting in silence on its surface.
