The beginnings of matrices and determinants goes back to the second century BC although traces can be seen back to the fourth century BC. However, it was not until near the end of the 17th century that the ideas reappeared and development really go underway.

    Matrices:

A set of numbers or objects or symbols represented in the form of rectangular array is called a matrix. The order of matrix is defined by the number of rows and number of columns present in the rectangular array of representation.

In simple words , A matrix is simply a set of numbers arranged in a rectangular table. We can add, substract, and multiply matrices together, under certain conditions.

    Determinant:

In mathematics, the determinant is a scalar value that is a function of the entries of a square matrix. It allows characterizing some properties of the matrix. it is a real number associated with every square matrix. it is a real number and not a matrix. it can be a negative number. determinants only exist for square matrix.

The determinants can be viewed as a function whose input is a square matrix and whose output is a number.

The determinants is useful for solving linear equations, capturing how linear transformation change area or volume, and changing variables in integrals.

Earthquake is the one of the most dangerous natural calamities. Any sudden shaking of the ground caused by the passage of seismic waves through the earth’s rocks. Earthquakes caused by a sudden release of violent gorund energy caused either by the shifting of the earth’s crust or magnetic activity.

A Body of rock that is under stress becomes deformed. When the rock no longer withstand the deformation, it breaks and the two sides past each other.

Earthquakes is very dangerous. Its damage to a man – made structure as well as an outbreak of fire and spilling of hazardous chemicals. Earthquakes are among the most natural hazards. They strike without warning and many of the earthquakes zones coincided with areas of high population density. When large earthquakes occur in such areas the results can be catastrophic, with terrible loss of human lives and untold economic cost.

There are many causes of earthquake.

    1) Earthquake caused due to sudden lateral or vertical movements in the crust of the earth

    2) It caused by human activity, like tunnel construction, filling reservoirs and implementing geothermal or fracking projects.

    3) Earthquakes are caused by the sudden release of stress along faults in the earth crust. Continuous motion of the tectonic plates causes the steady build of pressure in the rock strata on both sides of the fault until stress is great enough, which is released in jerky and sudden movement.

Respiration is very important role in biology. respiration is metabolic process which occurs in all organisms. it occurs within the cell of organization in these process, the energy is produced by the breakdown of glucose which is further used by cell to perform various functions.

The process of getting oxygen into the body and releasing carbon dioxide is called respiration. the energy is generate by breakdown of glucose molecules in all living cells of human body.

Oxygen is inhaled and is transported to various parts and use in the process of burning food particles.

The obtained glucose molecules are used for discharging energy in the form of ATP- Adenocine Triphosphate Molecules by the human body to fulfill essential process .

Respiration is assessed for quality, rhythm and rate.
