It is said that when examinations are approaching, students tend to get examination fever. The entrance of examinations means the beginning of fear in the mind of students. Examinations are considered to be the only hurdles that the students need to cross in an otherwise happy and carefree life.
Whether there are students of a school or a college, or any aspiring students preparing for any competitive examinations, all of them have examination fever. Exam fever is not bound to any age group. Students stop going to cinema halls, Restaurants, or any other places of entertainment during their exam days. The bugbear of an examination interrupts the smooth course of a student’s life. Most of them put a halt to all their extra-curricular activities when examinations are nearing.
Examinations are held by the school premises to test student’s abilities, to see the amount of work that they have done during a term, to judge what progress they have made during the whole term, and to discover whether they have been utilizing or wasting their time. Just because of the fear of examinations, students take more interest in their studies and also give proper time to all of their subjects so as to score some decent marks.
If there were no examinations, all the students would have the same marks, there would be no shortlisting on the basis of marks and it would be much harder to judge a person’s ability. In a way, examination fever is good as it boosts up the student and gives them the ability to study harder for their exams.

It is rightly said that “When you plant a tree, you plant a life.” Trees are the best gifts that Mother Earth has given us. The important thing that we should constantly remember is that trees do not need us we need them. They provide us with several benefits in life and never expect anything in return. The most important thing required for our survival is provided by trees, that is oxygen. In addition, they also provide us with shade, fruits, vegetables, and many more. It is almost impossible to survive without trees.
Van Mahotsav is a festival celebrated in India to honor the trees. It is an annual tree-planting festival that takes place in the month of July. This celebration of the great cause was initiated by India’s Union Minister for Agriculture, Kulapati Dr. K.M Munshi. This initiative was to spread awareness among the people regarding trees. This movement originated in the year 1950. This initiative was given utmost importance and every year millions of saplings are planted all across India in regard to the Van Mahotsav week.
Every citizen of India should understand their responsibility and plant at least one sapling in this Van Mahotsav week. This helps spread consciousness among people about the harm caused by cutting down trees. Awareness campaigns for this week are held at their peak. Novel promotions like the free circulation of trees are also taken up by several organizations and volunteers. This festival spreads the awareness of trees among people and describes the need of planting more and more trees, as trees are one of the most important living beings on Earth. Trees prevent are the best ways to prevent global warming and reduce pollution as well. Van Mahotsav is renowned as a festival of life.

If you visit Jaipur, there are many places of historical architecture. One of them is Hawa Mahal. It is a beautiful palace in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The English translation of Hawa Mahal says ‘The Palace of Winds’ or ‘The Palace of Breeze’ Hawa Mahal was built in the year 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh and designed by Lal Chand Ustad.
It is a five-story pyramidal architecture built with Red and Pink Sandstone. Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, the grandson of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, was the founder of Jaipur. He got inspiration from the famous Khetri Mahal, after which he decided to lay the foundation of Hawa Mahal. The head elevation is like a honeycomb web of a beehive constructed with tiny potholes. Its unique design was to permit the royal ladies to watch everyday life and festivals rejoiced in the street below without being seen, as they had to obey the rules of “Purdah,” which barred them from appearing in public without hiding their faces. The architectural highlight of Hawa Mahal also permitted cool air from the Venturi effect to pass through it, making the temperature of the whole area more pleasant during summers.
After 50 years, some renovation work was done on the palace in the year 2006 to give a facelift to the monument at an estimated cost of 4.5 million. Now, the government has taken an initiative to preserve the historical monuments of Jaipur, and the Unit Trust of India has adopted Hawa Mahal to sustain it. Some of the characteristics of this popular palace are the stone-carved screens, small casements, and arched roofs.
Hawa Mahal is taken care of by the archaeological department of the Government of Rajasthan.

A healthy lifestyle includes a variety of things like having a proper nutritious diet, daily exercise, having a night of adequate sleep, staying happy, and having positive thoughts. When all of these things combine to have a healthy lifestyle, we must know that our lives are on the right path. Leading a healthy life is essential for a person to remain happy in his life and spread positivity among others. Once you choose to lead a healthy lifestyle, it remains for a lifetime. It helps in keeping your present as well as your future secure. It helps in keeping diseases away from you. Having a healthy lifestyle is all about choosing the right things for yourself. Everyone cannot be perfect in this, but we can try by starting with a few things like getting up early in the morning, doing some basic exercises like jogging, or getting indulged in some sports or anything. In addition to this, one should also start to follow a balanced diet that includes the proper amount of carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, and proteins. Keeping both of these points in mind, one should also maintain one’s sleep cycle. It is necessary for a person to have sufficient sleep that consists of around 7-8 hours of sleep.
We should remember having a healthy lifestyle not only means physical health but also include mental health. Having proper sleep, including a balanced diet in your lifestyle, doing some exercises is fine, but being happy is also a big part of a healthy lifestyle. To facilitate happiness, one must have positive thoughts. When a person does not feel happy from the inside, they are not entirely healthy. Thus, thinking positive is a key to a healthy lifestyle.
A healthy lifestyle is the one thing that everyone should strive for!

There is a popular saying “Every educated person is not knowledgeable, but every knowledgeable person is educated”. This may seem a bit backward, but it is true. Nearly all the people are educated these days in their fields, but only some of them have an in-depth understanding of their subjects.
Knowledge is something that remains with us throughout our lives. The way we say that we have got a life lesson, the same way is knowledge. We gain knowledge from our experiences. Knowledge is the most important tool in life, as it has the capability to create and destroy life on Earth as well. KNowledge, if used in the right way, can be very advantageous to human life. It all depends on whether it is in the right hands or not. People may use knowledge in the wrong way as well. Like, we are acknowledging people who create bombs, or plan bomb blasts in parts of the country have an evil mind and they are obviously using their knowledge in the wrong path of life. Moreover, knowledge also helps to distinguish between humans and animals. Using your experience to help others in different phases of life is termed knowledge.
Knowledge is something that helps you in different spheres of life. It helps you to drive a car, manage a business deal, solve a puzzle, etc. It is something that stops people from repeating their mistakes again and again. Knowledge can’t be bought, it has to be earned. It comes to people mostly with experience. Even if a person gains in-depth knowledge of a subject or anything, they may receive utmost knowledge in that field.
Some people don’t share their knowledge with others. But they should know the more you share, the more knowledge you gain. It helps us to reach the success ladders in life.

Our planet and the resources contained in it make life possible on Earth. Without these resources, it is impossible to imagine life on Earth. The resources imply sunlight, water, air, other living creatures, minerals, and vegetation. But it is getting impossible to handle life on Earth because of the increasing pollution, population, and depleting resources. The resources are getting depleted because of human beings without even realizing it. It is very tough to create a sustainable environment on the Earth for our future generations.
By now, we should understand that the resources that we have been provided are limited and we should not exploit them. Rather, we should use them very carefully. To safeguard the existence of citizens on this Earth, we need to protect and take ultra care of our Earth. All living beings are dependent on each other for their survival, and we, on the other hand, are exploiting those resources. The rise in pollution caused by humans is attacking Earth so badly that the future on this planet is threatened. If these kinds of practices continue, life would be very difficult for us as well as our future generations.
The extents of degradation caused by humans are now irreversible and it is getting difficult to manage such a situation. This is one of the reasons why saving our mother Earth has become all the more important. The change in climate is also because of pollution caused by mankind.
It is high time now and we should understand by now that it has been and it is our responsibility to preserve the planet that we live in but rather we have become more selfish when it comes to the resources that we have been provided by nature. We should now understand that Earth is the only planet where life is possible. If anything happens to Earth, there will be no life!

Doctors all over the world are given the status of God. God gives us life and, doctors save our lives. It happens many times that they rescue our lives for no selfish reasons and work tirelessly for the sake of mankind. Moreover, this is the profession where people are given so much respect, irrespective of their gender, caste, creed, etc. Many children, from their childhood, instill the dream of being a doctor that later changes to different things.
Doctors have a very generous profession. They are equipped with loads of knowledge and plenty of instruments that help them to diagnose and treat their patients correctly with the right procedures. Doctors also need some medical staff to treat their patients and provide them with proper care. The medical staff is also perfectly trained as they have to treat the patients. The medical staff including the doctors are very proficient in their work and they have proved this time and again.
Even in this difficult time of the pandemic, doctors have not stepped backward. When the world needed them the most, they were always there to treat people. Whether we talk of coming out with the vaccine, or taking care of the people affected by the coronavirus, they have always been there for their country and for their profession. At the time when people could not move out of their houses to see doctors, they were still there helping us in possible ways. Even when they could not physically see the patients, they were available for online consultations at a very minimal cost and some doctors did that job even for free. Doctors do not consider this as their job but as their religion to help people in all the possible ways that they can. Before starting their actual practice, they are supposed to take an oath that no matter what, they will serve the nation without any selfish reasons and be there for the people whenever they need them.

One of the most innocent, loving, and harmless domestic animal that is of great importance to human beings is the cow. The cow is one of the most famous and valuable domestic animals in India. It plays a crucial role in Hindu mythology. Since they are beneficial in several ways to mankind, people keep them in their homes. If we talk about the physical appearance of a cow, then it is a big heavy four-legged animal having two horns, a mouth, two eyes, and two ears.
The significant advantage of having a cow is that it gives us milk, which is essential for maintaining the fitness of our body and boosting our immunity. Cow’s milk is rich in Phosphorous, Calcium, Vitamin B, Vitamin D, and Potassium. It also has a rich content of protein. Cow’s milk can be used to prepare several dairy products like butter, curd, cheese, and many other products. Cow’s milk is the most consumed in the world.
Cow dung is also a very beneficial product in our country. It can be used in the preparation of biogas and acts as a renewable source of energy as it contains a good amount of methane in it. In rural areas, cow dung is used to prepare cow dung cakes which are utilized as a fuel for burning and used in kitchens for providing a flame for cooking purposes. It can also be used as fertile manure in the fields. Cow dung is also a strong insect repellent.
In Hindu mythology, cows play an essential role. The followers of Hinduism consider cows to be sacred animals and believe that they should be protected against all odds. Cows are given a lot of respect in our country and are named ‘Gau Mata.’ They are given the status of a mother here in India. Killing cows is considered to be the greatest sin. These days, the government is taking all the measures to protect cows from any danger.

Water purification is the process of removing undesirable substances, chemicals, suspended solids, and harmful gases from water. The main aim of purifying water is to make it fit for drinking purposes. Also, the purified water can be used for a variety of things like using that water for pharmaceutical things, chemical, industrial, or pharmacological applications. Water can be purified by a variety of processes. They may be physical processes like sedimentation, filtration, and distillation. Or chemical processes like flocculation and chlorination. Water can also be purified using biological processes like sand filters or biologically active carbon. Water can also be purified by using electromagnetic radiation using ultraviolet light.
Water purification may reduce the number of suspended particles, bacteria, fungi, viruses, etc. Visual inspection cannot decide if the water is pure or not. Below are some processes that can help in the purification of water.
Boiling– Water can be treated by the process of boiling, but that is not enough. It may filter out bigger particles from the water but cannot separate contaminants that are present from an unknown source.Chlorination- It is a much older technique that was used to purify water. This is the process in which a mild bleach with approximately 5% chlorine is added to the water. This mixture acts as an oxidant and kills micro-organisms, making water reliable for consumption.Distillation- A water purification technique that requires collecting condensed water after evaporation. This process ensures that water is free of all the suspended contaminants. Solar Purification- This process involves filling a plastic bottle with water and keeping it horizontally in the sunlight. The ultraviolet radiation of the sun acts on this water making it safe for use. When the plastic bottle is filled with water, it is shaken a bit so as to activate oxygen in it. This process effectively kills the bacteria and viruses present in the water.

Every science student knows that light travels in a straight line. But now, it has been proved by researchers that light can travel in a curve without any external influence. It is very well known for the fact that light bends. When the light rays travel from air to water, they take an explicit turn. For instance, a stick dipped into water appears to tilt more towards the surface. Whereas, when in space, light rays passing near massive objects, it is observed that light travels in curves. For each of these examples, there are different reasons for light traveling in different positions. For water, it is due to the change in the optical property of air and water, called the refractive index. While for space, it is due to the nature of gravity.
The amount of light that bends around any surface or corner depends on the exact situation. For visible light, the amount of light that bends around corners is negligible if seen by naked eyes. The ability of light to bend around corners is called diffraction.
Light travels way differently than it is shown in ray diagrams. The ray diagram showing the beam of light rays traveling in a straight line is a bit over-simplified. In reality, there are many procedures that run behind that concept. Light is always waving against itself, leading to the generation of internal interference of different wave elements. And that is what we call internal diffraction. Diffraction causes a beam of light to slowly spread out as it progresses so that a part of light bends away from the straight-line motion of the light rays. Some of the light rays may turn away from the forward direction, which is a form of bending around corners, even though there is no corner!

Like human beings have hearts, trees have roots. Roots are the most significant organ of the trees. They are mainly used to bind the trees with the soil. Also, they are used to transport food, water, and minerals to all the parts of the plant. Most often, they grow below the soil but, they can also grow above the ground, especially water.
The root is the descending portion of the plant which usually penetrates inside the soil and assists the plant in the process of fixation and absorption. The root that develops from the radicle is known as the primary root. The primary roots further give rise to lateral branches that are termed secondary branches. The branches that become further branched are known as tertiary branches.
Plants basically have three types of root systems- Fibrous roots, taproots, and adventitious roots. In many monocotyledons, also known as monocots, the primary roots either die very early or their growth stops after a certain limit. New roots develop from the base of the radicle which are called seminal roots. After some time, several roots develop from the base of the plumule. These roots are fiber-like and are therefore known as fibrous roots. They are collectively known as the fibrous root system.
The roots that are found in dicotyledon plants or dicots are known as taproots. These roots are formed by the continuous growth of radicles. Taproots are generally found in the Mango tree. The roots that develop from primary roots are called Fibrous roots, the roots that develop from radicles are known as taproots, the roots that do not develop from either of these are known as adventitious roots. They may develop from any other region of the plants’ body like leaves, stems, etc.

Leaves are the principal lateral appendage of the vascular plant stem. They are usually born above the ground and help the plants to perform photosynthesis. The leaves, flowers, fruits, and stems together form the shoot system. Usually, leaves are flattened and have separated upper and lower surfaces which differ in color. The number of stomata in a leaf varies from leaf to leaf, and the amount and structure of epicuticular tissue are different in different leaves.
Leaves are generally green in color because of the presence of a green substance called chlorophyll in them. This substance is also essential at the time of the photosynthesis process that takes place in leaves. A leaf having light-colored or white patches on its edges is called variegated leaves.
Leaves have different sizes, shapes, and textures. Based on these features, they are further classified into many types. Based on the divisions of blades, leaves are divided into simple leaves and compound leaves. A simple leaf is one with an undivided blade while a compound leaf has a fully subdivided leaf. A simple leaf may be dismembered from its lobes, but the gaps between those lobes do not touch the main verb. In a compound leaf, each leaflet is separated along a main or a secondary vein.
The leaves of perennial plants are shed annually and are known as deciduous leaves, while the leaves that remain through winter are known as evergreen leaves. Leaves that are attached to stems by stalks are called petiolate. When they are attached directly without the help of stalks, then they are called sessile. Dicot leaves have blades in such a way that the major veins diverge from one large mid-vein and have smaller combining networks between them. Monocot leaves have narrow blades and are more common in temperate regions.
