Description

This fun cut-and-paste activity helps children learn about different animals and the foods they eat. Children will cut out the animal and food pictures, then match each animal with its correct food by pasting the food onto the matching animal. This hands-on activity builds animal recognition, food identification, observation, and logical thinking skills while strengthening fine motor development.

Materials Needed

  • Child-safe scissors
  • Glue stick

Instructions

  1. Carefully cut out all the animal pictures along the dotted lines.
  2. Cut out all the food pictures along the dotted lines.
  3. Spread all the animal and food cutouts on a flat surface.
  4. Look at each animal and identify it.
  5. Think about what each animal likes to eat.
  6. Match each food item with the correct animal.
  7. Paste the food onto or next to the matching animal using a glue stick.
  8. Continue until every animal has been matched with its correct food.
  9. Check your work to make sure all the animals have the right food.
