This hemoglobin creates a bond with the oxygen (travelling through tissues), which is highly unstable. When it is in an oxygenated state, it has a bright red color, while in a reduced state, it has a purplish blue color.
Lack of oxygen in hemoglobin can cause hazardous diseases like sickle cell anemia.
