Why are diabetic patients treated by giving them injections of insulin?

Why Are Insulin Injections Used To Treat Diabetic Patients?

Insulin is secreted by the gland called pancreas. The main purpose of insulin is to maintain the glucose levels in the human body. The pancreas is located below the stomach and is mostly yellow. When the level of sugar level increases in the body, generally it ranges between 100-120, if it is exceeded upto this the person is called as diabetic patients and the problem is diabetes.

An increase in the level of glucose will directly affect the vital organs, like kidney failure. In most cases, a person may faint due to this.

Insulin is a hormone that is usually naturally produced in the body and maintains the glucose level. When this natural process is disturbed, the person is advised to take insulin.

Also they are advised to not eat the products containing glucose like potatoes etc. Diabetes is a common disease; it may happen to any person genetically but can cause severe problems like cardiac arrest and kidney failure.

Hormones (chemical messengers) are released by endocrine glands into the bloodstream and delivered to numerous organs and tissues throughout the body. The pancreas, for example, produces insulin, which helps the body control blood sugar levels. The pituitary gives the thyroid orders to secrete hormones that control the pace of metabolism in the body (the more hormones in the bloodstream, the faster the chemical activity; the less hormones, the slower the activity).

Insulin injections are administered to people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. It’s utilized when oral medication isn’t working. Insulin injections operate by assisting the movement of sugar from the bloodstream into the cells of the body. Furthermore, it prevents the liver from generating additional sugar. Having high sugar levels in the bloodstream can have major health and lifestyle consequences. If blood sugar levels aren’t controlled, the risk of death increases dramatically.
