Some people some people think that saying yes is hard but the most most effective thing in the world The True Is to say no to people. Say no to paper can be a very tough task as you may be considered rude person or wrong person to deal with. You may have noticed whenever you say yes to person or to his wishes you always get positive responses, but when you reject his or her proposal or say no to their Idea or wishes you become a bad person for them.
This habit of always saying yes causes us to walk extra miles to please anyone by saying ‘Yes’ to everything. This is a very wrong habit and we should always avoid this. We should not always give in to a person’s wishes just because we think that they may feel bad. Standing up for the right thing and rejecting a wrong proposal should always be our motto.
The act of saying ‘No’ is not always that easy, even though when you are dominated by the person asking to do so. You may face serious consequences. May be that’s why we usually say, how can we say no to him/her but ultimately for whatever reasons we end up saying ‘Yes’. All these small ‘Yes’ lead us many times to grave problems and then we hear ‘You should have declined the idea at first hand.’ Therefore, learn to say ‘No’ when there is time. It is of no use to cry over spilled milk later. You must not say at the time when you already have fallen into serious consequences.
Ways of saying know some people say it politely others say that harshly and some people are just dumb. A proposal rejected politely is always taken in a positive attitude by all and if your life is filled with others request and you don’t care about your own name then your life will be a mess therefore saying no to think that you don’t like all you don’t want to do is always a great choice in this way you won’t hurt other people as well as also wont to raise their expectations. So if you want to change your life in a positive way you should always say no to things that you won’t be able to do or you don’t want to do. This will lead you to live a happy life and also people will admire you for your straightforwardness and you would not hurt others.

As we all know that plants are able to make their own food and therefore they are known as autotrophs. This ability of plants to make their own food help sustain living organisms on the planet Earth. The process by which plants make their food is known as photosynthesis. Photosynthesis form and integral part of the function of plants. In this process plants use raw material such as sunlight water and carbon dioxide from the air and chlorophyll pigment present in the leaves of the plant to make their food. Therefore we can conclude that chlorophyll is a very important pigment that help the plants in making their food and without which It wouldn’t be possible for plants to prepare their food. This pigment is present in the leaves of the plant and helps the plant to tap sunlight and use the energy from it.
Chlorophyll is the molecule that absorbs sunlight and uses its energy to synthesise carbohydrates from CO2 and water.
Does the chlorophyll pigment is very important from living organisms and not only for plant as if plants do not prepare food the humans will also not be able to get food and similarly all the animals will also die of starvation. Since plants form the most integral part of food chain therefore chlorophyll pigment forms one of the most important components of human as well as plant life.
It is because of the chlorophyll pigment that the leaves of the plant look green. The variation in colour is due to different amount of chlorophyll pigment present in the leaves some plants have large amount of chlorophyll in their leaves while other others may have less.

MemberMay 15, 2021 at 12:13 am in reply to: Impact and Significance of the Quit India MovementQuit India Movement also known as leave India Movement or the August movement was a civil disobedience movement launched by Mahatma Gandhi In 1942.
The quit India movement or “bharat choro andolan” was a movement launched at the Bombay session of the All-India Congress Committee by Mahatma Gandhi on 9 August 1942, during World War II, demanding an end to British rule in India. This movement movement placed the the demand of complete Independence at the top of the agenda of freedom movement. Even though the Britishers said that Independence could only be granted after the war but this moment drove to this point that India could not be ruled without the support of the masses.
On 7 to 8 August 1942, the All India Congress Committee met in Bombay and voted in favour of the ‘Quit India’ resolution. Gandhi called for ‘Do or Die’. The next day, on 9 August 1942, Mahatma Gandhi along with the members of the Congress Working Committee and other Congress leaders were arrested by the British Government under the Defence of India Rules. The Working Committee, the All India Congress Committee and the four Provincial Congress Committees were declared unlawful associations under the Criminal Law Amendment Act of 1908. The assembly of public meetings were prohibited under rule of the Defence of India Rules. The arrest of Gandhi and the Congress leaders led to mass demonstrations throughout India.People protested in large numbers and demanded “poorna swaraj” or complete freedom. Thousands were killed and injured in the wake of the ‘Quit India’ movement. Strikes were called in many places. The British swiftly suppressed many of these demonstrations by mass detentions; more than 100,000 people were imprisoned.
The ‘Quit India’ movement, more than anything, united the Indian people against British rule. Although most demonstrations had been suppressed by 1944, upon his release in 1944 Gandhi continued his resistance and went on a 21-day fast. By the end of the Second World War, Britain’s place in the world had changed dramatically and the demand for independence could no longer be ignored.
The Quit India Movement acted as a binding source for the Indian masses and the Indian masses United against the foreign rule . The Quit India Movement had a great impact and was significant in many ways as the masses lead the protest in the absence of their leader Gandhiji. People were ready to do or die for their country and its freedom. Patriotism was the new flavour of the Indian soil. People gathered in large groups and demonstrated against the British rule and all this led to the freedom of India from the shackles of the British rule.

A volcano is an opening or rupture in the earth’s crust through which lava, volcanic ash, and gases escape out of the earth’s crust. Beneath a volcano, liquid magma containing dissolved gases rises through cracks in the Earth’s crust. As the magma rises, pressure decreases, allowing the gases to form bubbles.
Volcanic activities have a profound influence on the Earth’s landforms. Solid liquid or gaseous material may find their way to the surface from some deep-seated Reservoir beneath. Molten magma is mobile rock that forces its way into the plains of weakness of the crust to escape quietly or exclusively to the surface.
The ancient greeks believed that volcanic eruptions occurred when vulcan the God of The Underworld stroked his subterranean furnace beneath the volcano, an island in Sicily from where the present word volcano is derived.
Geologist and volcanologist have confirmed that volcanic activity is closely connected with the Crustal disturbances particularly where there are zones of weakness due to the deep faulting or mountain folding.
As the depth of the earth increases the temperature also increases. The interior of the earth is in semi molten state comprising of solid liquid and gases materials which are very hot and are collectively called magma.
The Magma is very hot and heavily charged with the gases such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen etc. The gas and vapour increases the mobility and explosiveness of the magna which cause the volcanic eruption. These materials are then admitted to the vent of a volcano during the eruption.
Volcanoes are located in a clearly defined pattern around the World and are closely related to the regions that have been intensively folded or faulted. Therefore folding or faulting of region is one of the main reasons that cause the eruption of volcano.
Examples of active volcano which erupted in the recent years are Mount pelee, Mount Krakatau etc.
Different types of volcanoes have different types of lavas. Some have acid lavas while others have basic lavas. This composition of lava determines the amount of damage the volcanic eruption will produce.
Acid lavas are highly viscous and cause less damage whereas basic lavas are the hottest and highly fluid and cause widespread damage to life and property.

MemberMay 14, 2021 at 8:35 pm in reply to: How is air pollution harmful for environment?Air pollution means the degradation of air quality due to the pollution caused by various man made factors.Air pollution has may harmful side effects as it can impact the life of human beings very greatly. Various causes of air pollution are :
Harmful toxic gases released by various industries.
Emissions from various vehicles. Vehicles are one of the main cause of air pollution.
Burning fossil fuels releases gases and chemicals into the air.
Eruption of volcanoes
Pollen grains
Wildfires
Smog : Smog occurs when emissions from combusting fossil fuels react with sunlight.
Soot, or “particulate matter,” is made up of tiny particles of chemicals, soil, smoke, dust, or allergens, in the form of gas or solids, that are carried in the air.
•Effects of air pollution :
Drastic and long-term health effects from air pollution include heart disease, lung cancer, and respiratory diseases such as emphysema.
Air pollution can also cause long-term damage to people’s nerves, brain, kidneys, liver, and other organs ,damaging them seriously. Some scientists suspect air pollutants cause birth defects in newborns.
Air pollution also has various detrimental effects on environment and our surroundings. Monuments such as Taj Mahal have turned yellow or showed some of the other defects due to air pollution caused by industries surrounding them.
Global warming, climate change, smog effect, acid rain, extinction of animal species etc are some of the other detrimental effects that air pollution produces to the environment.
The constant pollution of the air has very negative effects on nature and on human health. Those long-term and medium-term effects have become problems that are difficult to solve. Both human activity and natural processes can generate air pollution.
• how to reduce air pollution :
1.use public transport and start carpooling.
2.Do not burst crackers.
3.Walk or cycle short distances and avoid using bikes etc.
4. Recycle and reuse
5. Say no to plastic bags.
6.Avoid smoking and prevent forest fires.
7. Use filters in chimneys
8.Treat the industry waste before releasing it in the environment.
9.use fans instead of AC, as they release Cfc’s in the environment.
10.Plant more trees.
Air pollution is a man made phenomenon and it is our responsibility to reduce it. We can do it bta planting more trees and following all the above mentioned steps whole heartedly. Earth is our home and we have to take care of it otherwise it will soon become uninhabitable and human population would perish.

Oxygen is one of the most elements on the earth atmosphere. It is required for the humans to breathe and without it humans might not even be able to survive. It is one of the life saving gases present on the earth. The main composition of water has oxygen molecule which is needed for human beings for drinking. Oxygen is released through various processes on the earth atmosphere. Plants play a very vital role in the formation of oxygen. Production of oxygen is not possible without plants. Plants produce oxygen through a process known as photosynthesis.
Photosynthesis is a process in which plants use the green chlorophyll present in the leaves to prepare food for itself. Plants also use sunlight water and carbon dioxide in the process. In this process of fusion is released as a byproduct.Oxygen released by the process of photosynthesis is released into the atmosphere with the help of the pores present in leaves.
The plants are the main producer of Oxygen gas in the atmosphere. They breathe in carbon dioxide and release of Oxygen which helps in human survival. Without oxygen humans won’t be able to survive on earth.
The chemical events that occur during photosynthesis are complex. The result is that six carbon dioxide molecules and six water molecules become six glucose molecules and six oxygen molecules. The word “photosynthesis” means “making things with light.
The oxygen produced by The plant has to undergo through a cycle known as Oxygen cycle. The oxygen cycle is a biogeochemical cycle in which the oxygen has to go through various states and phases such as oxides, Ions etc.
Oxygen which is a life saving gas is produced by plants. Therefore we should plant more plants and trees so that the oxygen level of earth never gets depleted.
Oxygen from plants when released into the atmosphere as various uses. Before plants are rightly said as life savior and autotrophs as they provide each organism with food and other crucial things to survive.

There are various reasons for this :
1.The levels of air pollution in Delhi are very high. Also the industries near taj mahal release toxic fumes and smoke into the air, polluting it even more. Since the air quality is very filthy therefore it has a very negative impact on the marbles of taj mahal.
2.The tiny insects which live in the yamuna river, which itself is very polluted due to the sewage waste which is being dumped in the river, crawl to the taj and their excrement further stains the marble.
3. Also taj mahal is situated beside a polluted river, enveloped by various industries and covered in dust all day long. Therefore all these factors are having a very negative impact on the marble quality of taj mahal and therefore it is changing its natural colour and turning to yellow.

MemberMay 13, 2021 at 11:40 pm in reply to: Why are most carbon compounds poor conductors of electricity? It is because most carbon compounds form covalent bonds and do not have free electrons, as all the electrons are used in making the covalent bonds. Also, carbon compounds do not dissociate into free ions in aqueous solution and therefore are not able to conduct electricity. Therefore they are poor conductors of electricity.

The battle of plassey played a very significant role in the entry of the British forces in the history of India. In this battle the nawab of bengal lost to the English army lead by Robert Clive. The nawabs army was very large as compared to that of English but his own people betrayed him.More than half of his army did not participate in the battle. It was after this battle that british took over the administration of India in their hands and the nawab of bengal was merely reduced to a puppet king, who had no power or money but had all the responsibilities of the kingdom. The British forces on the other hand enjoyed all the money and power.
Factors that led to battle of plassey :
1.Internal conspiracies and fights in the court and among the family of the nawab.
2.The arrival of Robert clive strengthened the English army.
3. Courtesan like jagat seth, mir chand, omichand betrayed the nawab.

It was launched on 5th September 1920 by the Indian National congress under the guidance and leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. It was a mass mobilization and peaceful protest. Gandhiji travelled across the whole country for about an year to explain his aims and plan to the common people. His main motives where
1.adopting swadeshi habits live weaving
2.preaching swadeshi behavior and
3.Eradication of untouchability and caste differences from the society.
•Some important features of this movement included:
1. It was a peaceful and non violent protest against the British government.
2. People were asked to give up their titles.
3. They were also asked to resign from government jobs.
4. People were expected to use more of swadeshi goods and behaviour and boycott foreign items.
5. People were asked not to serve in the army.
6. The INC mainly demanded swarajya or self-governance.
• Why was non co-operation movement called off?
It was called off by gandhiji in 1922 in the wake of chauri chaura incident in uttar pradesh. In chauri chaura , a mob of villagers had killed 22 policeman in a violent protest. Gandhiji became very sad after this incident.

So when it comes in contact with moisture it changes into a hard substance called gypsum. This reaction cannot be reversed and therefore it gets wasted. So it is advised to store plaster of Paris in a moisture proof container.
