Simplification is a lesson in primary mathematics which teaches us several methods to simplify complex equation and thus solve them and arrive at a final result. Simplifying a problem reduces the chances of making error while solving a sum and it also makes the process easy. But there are certain rules and regulation which needs to be kept in mind while simplifying a given problem. All these rules for the sake of remembering are clubbed into an acronym called “BODMAS” it states the order in which we should deal with a problem and not maintain this particular order will lead to wrong result. BODMAS stands for:

    B- BRACKET

    O- OF

    D- DIVISION

    M- MULTIPLICATION

    A- ADDITION

    S- SUBSTRACTION

  • Our world is constantly fighting against the pandemic caused by the deadly virus since the beginning of the year and till date is ongoing, most of the countries have faced the two havoc waves causing destruction like anything. With the ever-increasing number of cases and deaths caused by this deadly virus people are not only physically challenged but are also facing numerous mental issues to deal with the prevailing situation. The whole world has come to a standstill and human beings are the worst sufferers. Not only this it has even disturbed the economy, medical facilities and education the three major pillars of the human society. According to me the worst hit sector by this deadly virus is the educational sector. Already the pandemic has created a lot of mental and physical imbalances.

At this point of time some most important things which we should make into regular practices are using mask whenever we are out, sanitizing our hands on regular interval and maintaining social distance. Maintaining social distance will reduce the reach of the virus as viruses cannot stay active in non-living environment and thus maintaining distances will prevent the active viruses to enter the human body and thus eventually affect us.

    2. Exercising regularly is a key to healthy body and we all know that a healthy body and a healthy mind goes hand in hand, so we must ensure that we exercise daily to keep ourselves fit.

    3. The environment that we stay in also the company with which we spend time also plays a major role we should be extremely aware while selecting our company and in case we are not able to adjust we should walk away.

Mathematics is a subject of great interest and deals with numbers and operator. There are a lot of operators in mathematics some requires two digit to operate on whereas some can even operate with one, the operators do even vary in complexity. And talking about numbers both real and complex numbers exist.

Greater than (>), Lesser than (<), equal to (=) are three logical operators in mathematics, greater than and less than are used to compare between two numbers and as the name suggests it decides which is greater and which is smaller and on the other hand the equal to operator gives us the result of some operation.

These operators are extremely useful in mathematics, reasoning and are also important in programming these days.

Our eyes are the greatest gift which the almighty has provided us with, it helps us to see the entire world and its beauty and glory, without the pair of eyes this entire beautiful world is just a black wall for us. Eyes are very sensitive sense organs and need to be taken proper care of:

    1. In this pandemic everything is in the virtual platform and we are spending hours in front of mobiles and laptops and computers, this has become a necessity so we must take care of the fact that we must use these from a limited distance and set the brightness accordingly.

    2. We should splash our eyes regularly with water this soothes our eyes and gets rid of dust particles.

    3. We should take care of our diet and must ensure to take green vegetables specially broccoli, also carrot is a vegetable which is very much recommended for eyes.

    4. We should always use a sunglass whenever we are out to protect our eyes from the exposure to the scorching sunlight.

    5. Whenever facing any problem regarding eyesight make sure to consult an eye specialist, if you already have glasses use them regularly and do not neglect them.

Mosquitoes are parasitic insects which live on human blood, they generally breed in stagnant water and are not at all healthy. Mosquitoes generally breed in dirty water or rather in dirty environment. There are various kinds of mosquitoes, some are there which only bites and leaves behind red bumps along with some which along with biting spreads deadly diseases such as malaria.

There are various mosquito repellant creams as well as coils which are available in the market which keeps us human beings away from such diseases, although the primary thing which we should take care of is to ensure that the environment where we live in must be neat and clean there should not be any stagnant water which will bread mosquito or any other disease spreading insects.

At this moment one of our prime necessity is to maintain hygiene and sanitization and vaccination are two of the greatest steps which we should mandatorily take. Sanitizing our hands are mostly recommended in quick interval as we often tend to touch our eye, nose, mouth with our hands and if our hands are not sanitized there remains a greater chance of the virus entering our body and thus attacking us.

June 29, 2021 at 6:47 pm in reply to: How is science and technology used in society?

Science and technology play a huge role in our society as well as in our lives. Nowadays we all are surrounded by technology and are dependent on it for everything we do. Especially after this pandemic everything is in virtual mode and is completely based on technology. We live in the technological era where gadgets are of outmost importance to us. A gadget is simply a human made device which is programmed to reduce human effort and does a piece of job easily without any hassle. In this fast-growing world we human beings are always surrounded by machines and gadgets for every need of ours starting from the time we get up in the morning till we again go to bed we even use gadgets while we are asleep such as air conditioner, insect repellent and many more. Science is a boon for us, but in the other hand as everything has its own merits and demerits there are also people who do use science for a bad cause. Technology is good but it is advisable to keep this technology out of the reach of children as otherwise they will not tend to learn things and will prefer to take the help of science to solve a particular existing problem this may affect their growth.

  • Our world is fighting this deadly virus from the end of the year 2019, most of the countries have already experienced the two waves of the covid19 pandemic and is waiting for the third one. In such a crucial time when we are under lockdown, the thing which we require is to get vaccinated as this will grow our immunity and will help us to fight the deadly virus. The vaccines enter our body and makes the white blood cells aware of the harmful virus so that the next time when the person really gets affected by the virus the white blood cells can take the required action.

Enough knowledge and importance of the vaccine should be explained to the public, as because there are many superstitions and wrong thoughts among the people for which they are being afraid to take the vaccine and thus in this process are harming themselves.

Steps to increase awareness among citizens:

    1. The social media platform can be utilized wisely as these days people are very much into them, Video and audio clips should be circulated which will be spreading awareness.

    2. E-campaigns can be held to bring people into light and educate them about vaccination.

June 28, 2021 at 6:36 pm in reply to: Why Do We Compete?

Competition is always encouraged till it is in a healthy state, we compete with one another in various field to explore and find the best from every existing limit, competitive mentality promotes growth and helps one to walk that extra mile which will help them to go ahead and do something incredible. Whenever we compete with someone on a particular thing, we always have that extra thirst to do better which we do not possess when we do something alone. Competition is that little force which can help one to go an infinite mile in life.

In life we compete for a lot of things initially it can be anything but in the long run all of them accumulates to that one particular goal that is to make our lives better which eventually helps our environment to grow and thus the world to explore new horizons. Competitions makes it possible to set new bench marks and to upgrade the already available product and services. I support competition or rather healthy competition in every fields and also do consider it to be an important part of growth as it helps us learn new things and also encourages us to experiment on things and thus explore.

Everything comes with its own merits and demerits and the same happens with working from home, the present pandemic situation has compelled us all to work from our home as it is not safe to step out and go for work so here are some merits and demerits of the same:

    MERITS:

    1. Workers experience a complete freedom to work from their personal comfort zones and set the environment according to their personal choice.

    2. There is no time wasted for travelling up and down to the workspace, as a result fuel is also saved which reduces environmental pollution as well as energy is also saved which can be invested in some other place,

    3. There is no physical delay as everything is virtual.

    DEMERITS:

    1. There is less physical activity which is leading to medical problems like obesity.

    2. Working from home for a long time can really be tedious as there is no change.

    3. A dedicated place for a dedicated work increases concentration and productivity, the amount of work a person does in an office cabin the same can never be done sitting in one’s bedroom.

    4. This is changing lifestyle and is harming the discipline of the public.

June 28, 2021 at 6:07 pm in reply to: Why is our culture important?

We all are aware of the importance of roots to plants it helps them to stand up straight in every condition and also helps to get water and various other vitamins and minerals required to sustain its life, in life our culture also does the same it acts he same way how roots act for trees, it helps us and binds us strongly to our essence and the heritage of our previous generations. It gives us the rich taste of our heritage and also imports moralities and at times also teach us many life lessons. Culture lets us know how things were in the past and also imparts various values of life.

A man without culture is considered a man without roots, it seems that a major supporting part is missing if someone lacks culture and we human beings being social animals’ culture and customs play a major role in our daily lives. Culture also teaches us to follow rules and become disciplined in life, and discipline is a necessity in everyone’s life. Culture connects us to our past and helps us maintain our tradition and carry-on things from generation to generation, it somewhere makes us feel worthy and complete in ourselves.

June 28, 2021 at 5:57 pm in reply to: Can pollution be completely eradicated?

We human beings are witnessing ever increasing pollution with our ever-increasing growth. We have moved a lot forward in terms of technology and many other advancements but at the cost of harming our nature and thus causing environmental pollution. At this stage the facilities which we are enjoying they can be made eco-friendly to a lot extent but it is almost impossible to eradicate pollution. As technology is way advanced these days we can replace paper by e-writing pad but at the same time we cannot stop the utility of certain elements and networks which emits rays and harmful things which causes pollution.

If we want to eradicate pollution, we need to quit all our luxuries and need to go back to the life of the ancient people where everything was biodegradable. We all know everything comes with a cost and in order to achieve something we need to lose the other same is the case with environmental pollution we can surely reduce it to a lot extent in comparison to what it is today but we can never nullify it, it is the cost which we human need to pay for our advancements and smart life. Thus, I would conclude that it is possible to reduce pollution but not to eradicate it.

We fall ill when a bacterium, virus or some other harmful microorganism attacks our body and our immune system fail in front of them, this happens because offer we become week and so does our immune system due to improper nutrition or when we do not fulfil our required needs and necessities. Whenever we fall ill the white blood cells present in our body plays a major role, they fight the foreign material and if they fail, they again try collecting greater immunity and fights them back this greater immunity and strength is served by the medicine and the nutritious food which we consume, this food mainly constitutes of rich sources of protein, vitamins and minerals.

Once our white blood cells recognize and learn to fight a particular harmful foreign body the next time when the same attacks our body remains alert and fights back and prevents us from falling ill.

When we fall ill some of our organs starts malfunctioning thus degrading our performance and thus we feel week and low, we need to take extreme care of our diet and must ensure that we prevent ourselves from falling ill, and most importantly whenever we fall ill we should contact a doctor and only take prescribed medicine.

I am a Mathematics book of standard twelve, I was published by the Arihant book house as the 23rd edition of the basic secondary mathematics. I am quite a heavy and thick book; I was printed in some factory and then for the first time I was arranged in a rack with many others like me in the famous book lane of college street Kolkata. One fine day a boy came to the shop and asked for me and the shopkeeper wrapped me up in a newspaper and presented it to the student, I went to his home, he placed me in his book shelf with his other books. The very next day he started using me and he used to study me a lot as I was a tough one many a times when answers didn’t match or he was unable to solve a particular problem he used to make thick dark marks on me but he was a nice boy he never folded my pages or kept me in bad conditions, but soon he started mastering me throughout the year the boy worked out my problems day and night and finally his hard work paid him off as he came out with flying colors in mathematics. Now I am back again at a table in the college street book lane the boy sold me at half a price and now I am showcased yet for another time waiting for another student to start a new journey.
